Treyarch has announced that Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 2 will be released tomorrow for only the Xbox360 and PS3. It will include the 3 multiplayer maps Banzai, Corrosion, and Sub Pens. It will also include for the new Nazi Zombie gametype, "Shi No Numa" (Zombie Swamp).
Sadly, no word of the PC side of the map pack, so keep your fingers crossed.
The Call of Duty website has been updated with some new info and an overhead of the upcoming Map Pack 2 zombie map Shi No Numa. Listen up soldiers:
We’ve got some bad news. The zombie infestation previously plaguing isolated areas within Germany has spread to the Pacific. Communication is shoddy at best, but we’ve pinned what sounds like an SOS signal to a remote jungle location in Japan.
Heavy fog and impassible swamp terrain have left reconnaissance efforts near fruitless. However, we have secured intelligence supporting the survival of an Allied force in the area. The map below was found on the ground near the signal location, but evacuation became necessary as night began to fall.
Our recon squad is made up of some of the toughest and meanest soldiers you’ll ever meet, but they’re smart enough to get out before the dogs start preying at night; those hounds of Hell make their living counterparts seem about as threatening as a bunch of kittens after dinner.
With the war demanding every ounce of strength we can muster, there’s no telling when a full search and rescue operation will be conducted. For now we can only hope that our soldiers in the swamp can hold the zombies off.

Jacmac has released the all new upgraded Nazi Zombie Dead Sand Elite Version. This map plays flawlessly with lots of twists and turns. There is changing weapon values, increased AI offense and defense, there are a few perks we wont tell you about.
The map opens, the landing boats are on the beach, you and you team mates are defending a series of trenches and bunkers. You have at your arsenal, bouncing betties, mounted machine guns, deployable weapons, mortars and a few custom weapons that will be sure to blow your mind. From the trenches you make you way trough a series of mountain side bunkers again with lots of twists and turns. There is a last stand area that will blow your mind.
Now back to the AI; you have reinforcements that you can gain from time to time to help with the onslaught of zombie attackers. There is also the presence of enemy AI who have a large arsenal of weapons. There are times that all 32 zombies will spawn at one time; it will truly make you crap your pants, as it will feel as if it is too much to handle.
This will definitely be a map you will remember. Download it now, play it and then play again, I guarantee you will not be disappointed. It is a very large map and the extras make it play smoothly. Ottawolf, WizzardOfOzz, FW-Corey and CoDNerd are proud and honored to have tested it and now we bring it to the community. Also we want to welcome Jacmac to the CustomCoD staff. Please use "map dead_sand_elite" in the console to play solo, do not use "devmap". Anything that enables cheats will cause the map to abort!
Additions
Perks
Perks have been implemented, they drop from zombies just like powerups but look different than powerups. Two additional perks have been implemented, 'Endless Grenades' & 'Three Primaries'.
With Endless Grenades your grenade inventory will be replenished by 1 grenade every few seconds. With Sleight of Hand, the replenishment is faster.
Three Primaries gives you three primary weapon slots.
The Juggernaut perk has been altered to double your toughness (200% health) instead of the standard 160%.
For a solo player, the Quick Revive perk is useless, so Quick Revive provides additional speed to rebuilding barriers (solo only).
The "?" (gambler) can now spawn perks as well as everything it used to.
The amazing map, Newvillers 2 by Paulo88 can officially be played in its beta 2 form. For those who do not know much about this map, check out the news we posted here, which has a bashcast about the map. Besides this map being beautiful, it also includes some new players skins. As some have wondered before, including myself, could there ever be a Call of Duty set in Vietnam? There is a rumor that indicates so, and it does have some good points to back it up. Some gamers always deny that future Vietnam games will be made because of the subject matter or because previous games have failed, although I really enjoyed Battlefield: Vietnam. Call of Duty could be the franchise to make a successful Vietnam game. Treyarch has done quite well with the Japanese environments and that could lend well to a Vietnam style game. Read some info below from That Video Game Blog which has brought this rumor to the surface.
A source we consider reliable has told TVGB that Activision is looking to license music for “Call of Duty 7,” music that gives some serious hints as to the locations the game may take us. Mentioned were Vietnam War era tunes, as well as Cuban, African, and Soviet Union music. The source says Call of Duty: World at War’s senior producer Noah Heller is involved, so it looks like Treyarch is once again developing.
Credibility to the change from WWII is added by Heller himself who last year said they “are showing the final battles of the Pacific and the European Theatre and that lets us put a close to the war. I’m sure game companies will be making World War II games for years to come and World War II is a very classic war. But we’re happy that we put the war to bed.”
While Modern Warfare 2 is still six months from release, someone under Activision already working on a new Call of Duty game isn’t very hard to believe when considering the cold hard fact that there’s been a new release in the series every single year since 2005, and Modern Warfare 2 will continue that tradition this year with its November 10 release.
While it is just a rumor at this point and time, the line from Mr. Heller of, "But we’re happy that we put the war to bed” is a convincing point that Treyarch is probably moving to some other war besides WWII. What are your thoughts? Confederates or Yankee zombies anyone? Vietnamese, Cuban, or Russian Zombies? Treyarch is usually creative with their games, so it will be interesting to see what happens.
